Stronger demand for Bali has made Garuda Airlines Indonesia to increase capacity from Sydney. The airline has added a new Wednesday flight taking the total number of flights between Sydney and Bali to five non-stop flights per week with daily departures, except Tuesday and Friday. GA 717 will depart on a Wednesday at 10.00 in the morning, arriving in Bali in the afternoon at 14.25.

In a recent report commissioned by the Indonesian Department of Transport, it was announced that Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, was the safest international airport in the Indonesia.
The report looked at key areas of safety, security and service, in relation to the country’s five largest international airports. The results showed that Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) came out trumps, and was followed by Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta (CGK), then by Juanda International Airport, Surabaya (SUB), then Polonia International Airport, Medan, Sumatra (MES), and lastly Hasanudin International Airport, Makassar (UPG).
