Pata reports that Bali tourism is on the Rise

The Russians are Coming!

Pata, the Asian Pacific Travel Association is reporting that a record high of 472.000 visitors in the first four months have come to Bali, and also that the the average room rates in Bali have increased with 12.5 percent.

Of course Bali has suffered from the bomb blasts, but it seems that recovery of tourism is on the way. Before the unfortunate events 1.53 million tourists came to Bali in 2005. Current numbers for the last 12 months are 1.39 million.

A spokesman of a Travel agency in Bali says that there are an increasing number of people from Russia and India coming to Bali. Someone I spoke to recently said that in one of Bali's most famous restaurants, Mozaic in Ubud they have hired a Russian to accompany guests to their table.
Ok : Добро пожаловать на Бали (Welcome to Bali)

On september 25-28 Pata organises a Travel Mart at the Bali International Convention Centre (BICC)
